A week long cleanup is now provided to Palm Springs residents.
The clean-up dates for 2008 are April 14-19 and October 13-18.

Collection of Extra Household Wastes
Beginning Monday of Clean Up week, all single family residential dwelling units can set out additional compactible household waste at the curb for collection. This waste must be in bags or cans. Containers cannot exceed 50 pounds per item nor 32 gallon capacity.
Green Waste Collection
PSDS provides green waste collection each Wednesday for single family residential customers. This waste is directly transported to a green waste facility. Trimmings must be tied into 2'X 4' bundles. The rest of the green waste must be placed loosely into 32 gallon regulation cans in order for it to be recycled. All other green waste that is bagged or untied will be handled as trash and taken to the landfill.
Large Item Collection (2 item maximum)
Customers who want to have large bulky items collected and disposed of will need to have these items set at the curb by Monday of Clean Up week by 7:00 AM. Pre-arranging for collection during this week will no longer be necessary. A maximum of two large bulky items will be collected at no charge this week only.
Our drivers will be collecting bulky items all week long, so there may be delays as to the day you actually get your item(s) collected. We suggest that if your item(s) has not been picked up by Thursday of Clean Up week, give us a call by Friday.
Bulky Items
Bulky items include appliances, furniture, some auto parts, and some construction debris. These bulky items cannot exceed 150 pounds and must be able to be lifted by two men. Items larger than this will be subject to additional charges. Large items will be collected throughout the week. However, they are required to be out by Monday morning on the week of the Cleanup. Customers wishing to have items removed from inside or behind the property will be subject to additional service charges.
Roll-Off Debris Boxes are Available Saturday ONLY
Large roll-off debris boxes will be available Saturday of Clean Up week in the north parking lot of City Hall. Access into the lot will be off of Civic Drive. The boxes will be open to the public from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. PSDS will have personnel available to assist the elderly or handicapped with off loading their vehicle. No hazardous waste will be accepted at this site.
