All Palm Springs waste is now being transported to the Edom Hill Transfer Station, just east of Palm Springs. After arriving at the transfer station, the waste will be moved onto larger trucks where it will be moved to a distant landfill. This landfill, the Badlands Landfill, is located off the Theodore Road exit on US Highway 60 at the east end of Moreno Valley. The Badlands capacity for waste is projected to last 20 years.
Waste Management North America operates Edom Hill Transfer Station.
Hours are Monday through Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with limited hours on Sundays.
It is located on Edom Hill Rd. off of Varner Rd in Cathedral City.
How do I get to the Edom Hill Transfer Station?
Take the Date Palm or Palm Drive exit off the I-10. Head North to Varner Road. From Palm Drive turn East or from Date Palm Drive turn West onto Varner. Look for the sign marking the road to the Facility (Turn North).
